ESL Resources

Program Information

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program provides English learners with the language skills needed to:

  • Support the academic achievement of their K-12 children
  • Find and improve employment
  • Succeed in college and career training programs
  • Become United States citizens
  • Participate more fully in their communities

ESL classes give English learners opportunities to study and practice English language communications skills, including: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and critical thinking.  Competency-based courses span seven levels ranging from basic literacy to advanced English language development.
